Long weekend coming

Probably like all of us, I'm looking forward to a few days off with the prospects of some good fishing. The river is continuing to drop but is still at a very good level for fishing.

I think the high water around the last spring tides encouraged the fish to spread right throughout the river. Normally in lower water the fish hold in the pools and holes in our beat. There are a few fish about but I'd envisage a good run of fish coming in around the coming spring tides and holding in our beat.

With any luck from this weekend up to next weekend will see some promising prospects so hopefully lots to report over the coming week.
